Sympodium
Easy
(Can adapt just about anywhere though)
Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean (typically collected off the coast of Australia and around numerous different Indo-Pacific islands)
Xeniidae
Soft Coral
Sympodium is very similar to Xenia, although it does not have the ability to pulse like Xenia does. It also is found in more desirable colors, containing a beautiful blue and green pattern, it is unusually rare and can be hard to find available in the hobby.
Sympodium prefers moderate lighting and moderate to high water flow. It does grow quite fast, so be sure to give it some space to grow. Some hobbyists will isolate this coral and place it on its own rock in the sand to prevent it from growing all over your other rocks in the aquarium.
Although Sympodium is mainly photosynthetic, relying on the products of their zooxanthellae, they can also be fed phytoplankton and zooplankton, as well as other products like Coral Feast and Reef Energy
